CPU bottleneck for "Radeon HD 7850"

Think I might drop the coin on a shiny new AMD FX 6300 processor. What do the TH community think about this CPU/GPU combo and will it hold back my Radeon HD 7850 CrossFire ambitions for the future ?

That GPU is gonna have a night on the town with or without your processor. But given that it is a quad core processor that can hold its own for nearly every application (model design, gaming, video rendering etc.) There shouldn't be any bottlenecking. Just make sure the PSU is ready to give the power when needed.

I am hoping for 4.6Ghz OCed on a Hyper 212+ and Msi G45 870 AM3 with bios flash to AM3+ with support for 6 core AMD FX CPUs

Well the msi 870 G45 AM3 with Bios Flash turns into an Msi G54 AM3+ which is physically the exact same mobo as the 870 G45 but with a factory updated Bios and small price increase because of the AMD FX CPU support.

Looks like you may be correct. Seems that the Bios I flashed to might not be compatible with AMD FX Cpus. The closest Bios in the link you posted to mine is A7599AMS.HF0 or A7599AMS.HF0 the Bios I have is A7599AMS.A80 which means that an AMD FX CPU might not be supported.
