My built in speakers are not working. I have gone to control panel - Hardware and sound - Devices manager - System devices - System speaker and under device status it says No drivers are installed for this device. I have tryed updateing the device and says everything is update. I have a acer aspire and use windows vista.

Do you have the discs that came with the computer? One of them should have drivers on it, install them.

Also you could do a system restore and go back to when they worked also you can go to device manager and remove that device that's not working .. reboot see if vista has found new hardware and install the drivers. And last but not least go to acers website and search for your model and find the drivers.
