Fan Controller = More Fans?

Hello again,

I am just here to ask if adding a fan controller means I can add more fans. Eg. If the motherboard runs out of Fan slots, can I just use a fan controller to add extra fan ports?

Of course!

The fan controller takes its power from the power supply, not the motherboard.

That being said, a lot of fans also come with a molex connection so you can plug them directly into the power supply. They won't be quiet, as they'll run at full power, but if you just need more fans, that's the easiest way to do it.

This depends on your fan controller in question, I will send you a link to some fan controllers, generally yes. Most fan controllers offer more then one fan to control. Essentially Most fan controllers will plug into a Power supplies molex connection and give multiple fan outputs for power. You usually also get controls for fan speeds, lights and temperature read outs.
