Hi,
I'm looking to buy a new GPU for my desktop computer (Compaq Presario CQ5110F). I bought it a few years ago, it wasn't a high end computer at the time so certainly isn't one now. As a result, I only have an integrated graphics card.

I was looking for a GPU to play some games like MMOs, MOBAs, Diablo3 and the like (not the big AAA titles). My budget is around 60$. I was originally looking a the GeForce 610/620/630 GT series but after looking at some reviews online I'm unsure.

My motherboard is a Narra5 so I have a PCIe x16 slot, although it is not a 2.0 (is that a problem?) My PSU is at 300W.

Also, since the pc is a HP, and processor is AMD, does that restrict the possible GPU that would be compatible with my CPU?

Thanks very much.

At your budget you're going to want a 6670.

First one is cheaper but is GDDR3

This one is faster with GDDR5 but may put you over budget, even after.the rebate

I went with the XFX HD 6670 GDDR3 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150542) , and I have to say I'm really satisfied up to now. Thanks a lot to everyone, the consensus really helped me make up my mind. I'm also very impressed with the amount of games I can actually run with this new card.

Since it required a bit more power, I replaced my power supply for this one:

And I'm really satistified as well with this.

Thanks again.

Good choices. I bought exactly those components.
They dropped the price on the 6670 $5 since I bought it though :pfff:
