Hello all,

Just a quick q, first time overclocking and was wondering if this is strange. I figured for a no frills experience I would use the auto overclock feature just to see. I tried 4.4ghz and it runs fine no problems. When I try the 4.6ghz auto-overclock feature the computer fails to boot up to Windows. There is no BSOD as I am using Win 8 but the problem seems to be different everytime, one moment it was a Kernel_Trap and the next was something else which I forgot.

How might I fix this auto overclock issue? If I overclock manually could I get it at 4.6ghz and beyond?

Thx in advance!

Cheers!

Yea, I have a similar experience with my Extreme4. If I try to go beyond 4.4Ghz with the voltage set to Auto, it just fails to boot into Windows. I suspect if you want to go further you will have to start adjusting your voltage manually.
