Hello everybody. I've searched the internet but just got lost in the flooding of all the information, so I was hoping you could help me.
I have HP Rosignol, 1,5 years old. It fell of the cca. 40cm desk a few weeks ago, but worked fine afterwards. I haven't downloaded anything in the past week, only watched movies, but did log into two or three public networks and link my Nikon camera via usb. The computer also has the problem of overheating and has been formatted once before. I only use the battery when travelling, otherwise it's plugged in and working only off electric pover; I'm kinda mad about it but i did just remove the cabel, so it didn't shut down properly a few days ago.
The problem began about three days ago, when I started it and i would boot, the toolbar shows, my scan system shows up but then everything freezes. The toolbar is hid, I cant click anything, Sometimes it shows that the windows didn't shut properly (I've tried restarting it several times, with battery in, battery out, left it about a day and then again, but the same thing), sometimes it shows that the sound system has crashed, but overall it just freezes. if i leave it to unfreeze itself, the black screen will show. With the help of ctrl+alt+delete the system helper, program helper whatever it is will show, but i won't be able to click anything. The computer works fine in safe mode, and I've gone to the back of the system and ran disk and system and all the other tests and none of them found any bugs. What should I do? Please help me!

>>Click Start, and then click Run.
>>In the Open box, type msconfig, and then click OK.
>>Click Selective startup.
>>On the Static VxD tab, click to clear the NAVAP.VxD check box,and then click OK.
>>On the Startup tab, click to clear the Norton Auto Protect check box, and then click OK.
