O.P.
Okeys so I had about 5 either 2 or 3tb externals and thought why not put them all in 1 box. So i uncscrewed the old externals to the raw drive and slotted them in. For the record I went with:
ASRock Z77 Extreme9 Motherboard.
i7-3770K processor
16gb ram and haven't put in a gfx card yet.
Running windows 8.
So it all went well and all the drives are showing (except for one that died in the process but that's another story) EXCEPT all of my 3tb drives are only showing as 2tb??
Now there is an asrock app:
Windows® 8 64bit ASRock 3TB+ Unlocker Utility ver:1.1
That sounds like it would solve the prob however no dice! No change.
Now these drives are full so I can't reformat them or it will take me years to redo my collection. Also out of interest when looking through I can't seem to see what data has been removed although a select all properties shows 2tb so I'm not sure what's missing
One note I think is important is that under disk management it's showing 2tb with no unalocated space which seems common with these problems through my research.
Aaaaaaany advice would be great guys thanks in advance!!
Love your work gang!
