Is my build decent?

I got a build together that I think is decent, I originally wanted a 7970 vapor-x but the monitor I was going to get supported Nvidia 3D vision so I didn't want it going to waste, I chose a 680 instead. I know it may be overkill but I like to get every little bit of performance boost that I can. I am ready to hit the BUY button
My questions are:

How well can I play games in 2D and 3D for example BF3/4, Metro, Crysis, Borderlands etc?

I know the 7970 has HD3D support but I couldn't find any good monitor to go with it, if you can find one please let me know

I have been told that my build is bad for gaming and I won't be able to get max settings on 3D is that true?

I've been told my CPU cooler is a bad choice, is it?

I had posted my build on the minecraft forum ask how well it might run minecraft and got told that my build sucks pretty much, haven't gotten much alternative help so any advice on how I can make the build better without sacrificing power/performance? Thanks

Very nice build. That is a nice air cooler from what i hear. Gaming in 3d i have done with my non 4gb 680, it is taxing. I'm sure the extra memory will help though. I usually just go from ultra to medium/high. You will be happy with the results im sure have fun.

The CPU cooler is fine, but looks very out of place with what you're spending every where else.

The i7 does about zero over an i5 for gaming so is usually a waste of money.

If you really want 3D on ultra on sure you'll need SLI/crossfire.

How could you not find a good monitor for HD3D?

o.k. that makes sense

Evo is fine for mild overclocking. If you want to push it more then get as Corsair H80i. Water cooling systemshelp wwith airglow cuz you don't have a big heatsink.

Since you are buying the CPU from Microcenter then look for a bundle. Some locations bundle the CPU with a motherboard at a great price. If i had as Microcenter near me I'd buy the 3770k too. At that price it's a sweet deal.

850W seems like major overkill unless you might add a second 680.

Wow, that is an expensive mouse!

Why 1866 not 1600 RAM?

I looked at some of those monitors on the list and most seem discontinued :/

I already got the RAM and it was cheaper than listed, I do plan on overclocking but not heavily and I do want to add a second GPU in the future

I'm not sure I want to run the game on max settings in 3D but hopefully not the lowest, is 3D really that intensive even for that GPU?

Yeah , If you can afford buy a second GTX 680 ASAP. Or reduce the settings. Or lose FPS. The Choice is yours.

I bought everything except the monitor and GPU because I'm still hoping someone might be able to change my mind and I'll be able to get a 7970
