I just bought a new Asus P5N-D motherboard and I've setup all of the components, but I don't have a monitor yet. I plugged in the power just to see if the casing was heating up or not, but it's cool and not heating up or the PC is not shutting down. Just out of curiosity, I plugged in my USB flash drive, which usually lights up when connected to an usb port, and it didn't light up. I tried all 4 of the rear ports as well as 2 on front and my flashdrive didn't light up on any of them.
I have a blank HDD connected with no OS installed.
Is this a sign that the USB ports are faulty ? Also, there are no led on the mobo indicating that power is reaching out to the rear usb ports.

Antec VP450W PSU
Antec Sonata Proto casing
Asus P5N-D motherboard
G-Skill 2x1 GB PC 6400 DDR2 RAM
Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 Ghz processor with Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro CPU cooler
Nvidia GTX 550 Ti GPU
