Upgrade my CPU or GPU for battlefield 4?

So, I pre-ordered battlefield 4 the other week, and I want to be able to play t on higher settings than I can play battlefield 3 at the moment (I just got a 1080p 27 inch monitor).

I can play bf3 at high settings when in doors at about 40 - 55 fps and when I'm out doors it's about 35 - 45 fps, but I usually don't play outside maps or just turn down the graphics.

My currents specs are

ASUS GTX 650 Ti 1gb
i3 3220
8GB Ram

I was just wondering, would I get much performance boost from upgrading my CPU? As I heard battlefield utilises the cpu a lot. Because I would rather upgrade that to say an i5 3570k than upgrade my GPU because I just payed about 180 for my gtx 650 ti about 5 months ago.

My suggestion is to wait until it's out. I think it comes out in 2014. If so, there will be new hardware out by then which will be more powerful/cheaper than what there is now. Also, we can't say for sure how it will run on any hardware until it is out. It should be similar to BF3, but you never know.

I reckon a new cpu would probably be needed if you're planning on playing on high player count servers as bf4 will likely be at least a little more cpu intensive, and from what I have seen an i3 often isn't quite enough to go perfectly lag free on a 64 player server in bf3.

If you do plan on upgrading now is probably the best time as though Haswell is coming very soon, your cpu should still sell for a decent amount as long as its sold before Haswell due to it still being the current generation.

EDIT: I mean on top of a gpu upgrade

In single player, which that benchmark is measuring, any current non-budget CPU is fine.
In large multi servers however with 64 people and everything being blown up, an i3 often doesn't have enough power. This isn't usually shown in reviews because its too hard to get consistant results on a multiplayer server.

Minus 2-4fps for all CPUs online.

I would upgrade your CPU now to a i5 altough its not really necceary and then safe up some money for a better graphics card like a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150665

Here are the minimum requirements for BF4:
OS: Windows 7 or Windows 8
Processor: Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 2.8 Ghz
RAM: 3GB
Graphic card: DirectX 11 or 11.1 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card, ATI Radeon 6450 or higher, Nvidia GT 520 or higher.
Graphics card memory: 1024 MB
Sound card: DirectX compatible sound card
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

My little brother ran an i3 3220 before switching to a 3570K and his FPS were on average in the low-mid 40's, sometimes as low as mid 20's in BF3 MP when the s**t was hitting the fan. After the 3570K they were 60+ almost all the time. BF4 is also rumored to be more threaded than BF3 was as well.
