My work is getting me a cpu fan since mine is dead. Anyhow, they have an account on Amazon and they want me to get it from there.

Anyhow, I have this motherboard:

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

I am using the AMD Pheonom II 1100 on it as well.

I need a real good fan for it. Can anyone suggest one that I can get from Amazon?

Thanks for the help as usual.

Eric

to be honest, if you are not going to overclock at crazy frequencies no need for a watercooler.
I've seen people having stable overclocks around 4.2G's with Hyper212Evo. I am also using that one and its a serious piece of art :D

basicaly, your overclock target will be the deciding point of view. Lets say, up to 4.0GHz stick to air cooler (more like hyper212evo, or any other cooler with decent mounting kit, more than 80cfm air pressure and controllable fan rpm with 800rpm bottom to 2000rpm peak levels)

agreed, its one of the best. eventhough it is a cheap solution, unless you are thinking about watercooling... I mean if you arent thinking to buy a watercooler you dont need to go for a more expensive cooler, it will provide enough cooling as aircooler
