Can't update AMD Drivers - HD7970

I'm not sure why but I can't update my AMD Drivers.... and i'm only getting 50fps on minecraft on a 7970.My 3DMark11 score says that my driver version is 9.12.0.0 and in Catalyst Control Centre it says my Cataylst version is 13.1 but my Driver packing version is 9.012

asus 7970 directcuii
8gb kingston 1600mhz ram
corsair gs600 psu

Go to your device manager , look for your GPU..." Disable " your GPU or uninstall it , your PC will restart blah blah you'll use internal drivers and THEN download the freshest drivers you can find and install them. Should do the trick

I've heard that you shouldn't uninstall drivers but just install the latest drivers ontop of it or else it might cause some problems

No it's better to remove the old drivers and put fresh ones on...It's like would you have old carpet and put new ones on top of the old ones? No. You'd take off the old one and put on fresh new ones so that's it's cleaners. Same with drivers , you'd take off the old ones and put new ones so theirs less cluttered drivers which makes your system clean and less driver conflictions.

If i so called "Disable" my Graphics card, when I install the drivers will it automatically "re-enable" the card or do I have to Enable it myself

When you disable or uninstall your graphics card, after you restart your system windows will automatically detect the card and make it work. Make sure you download the latest drivers on your desktop before disabling your card. And also turn your internet off after restarting and installing the driver
