After months of labouring over every detail, I fell I have finally found the right system for me. Here's the list:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Sk50

Can you guys check over it to make sure everything works and I'm not making any mistakes? Thanks :)

EDIT: Worth noting that the PCpartpicker list is inaccurate in that I am getting my MSI Twinfrozr GPU from Novatech

Approximate Purchase Date: This weekend

Budget Range: £550

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, 3D Graphics Design

Are you buying a monitor: Yes, but I'm not including it in my budget

Parts to Upgrade: Buying whole new system

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon.co.uk, scan.co.uk, novatech.co.uk, dabs.com, overclockers.co.uk, aria.co.uk

Location: West Midlands, UK

Parts Preferences: Must have an NVIDIA GPU as I require CUDA to run my graphics suite efficiently, and I'd like the gear up pack and AC3 :p

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: Most likely 1366x768 to begin with, may stick this one in as a "browsing monitor" later on and get a new monitor of either 1920x1080 or 1680x1050 later

Additional Comments: I'd like the case to NOT be a black rectangle, I've got to look at this thing every day!

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My current Sony laptop just isn't up to scratch for any of my uses

Again, thank you very much :)

Hey

only thing i would change is the processor. if you can spring for a better one, then go for it IMO. the 4300 just cant keep up with gaming. check out the tomshardware CPU hierarchy and go for something with a bit more oomph!

regards!

Yeah I definitely agree that the FX-6300 would be a better choice if you could squeeze it into your budget.

Alternately an i3-3220 and Radeon 7850 would give you a bit more horsepower:

That would probably be a better use of your budget.
