Hi,
I am trying to increase the turbo core/boost of my Athlon 750k to 4.2GHz in the bios but when I do so it inadvertently turns off turbo core and runs at stock 3.4GHz. In AMD Overdrive software I can only turbo up to 4.0GHz which is why I tried to change it through the bios but as mentioned before, if I turn it up any higher, it switches it off.
I was not really concerned about this as I thought I could turn off turbo core and just overclock it manually but when I overclock to 4.3GHz my benchmark scores are worse than if my CPU had turbo core on to 4.0GHz.
My motherboard is an Asrock A85x Extreme 4 M
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
