I bought the heroes of might and magic collection a week ago. It's heroes 1-5 with all expansions. The annoying part is it's on 4 separate cds, so every time I want to switch games I have to open up my cd rom and swap discs. I guess I'm too babied with steam. Anyway, does anyone know of any official patches to remove cd check? All I can find online so far are cracks which I don't want. I don't want anything pirated. I can't find anything on ubi's website either so probably out of luck but thought I'd ask.

There are no "Official" no cd cracks. only what is available online.
An option would be to load the cds on your hard drive as ISO files and use a program like Magic ISO virtual cd/dvd manager. On XP I use Clone CD.
I run all of my older games this way. CDs/DVDs stay in their cases and never get scratched or destroyed.
Some games will only look to the drive they were installed from. In that case ,create the ISO and install the game from it.

Ok I'll try that thanks! It just seems very archaic to require cds in drive for games from the 90s! As an example, the last civ4 patch removed the cd check so it does happen sometimes with official patches.
