I am just starting to get my feet wet in tinkering with my computer. My siblings and I all got identical laptops. One failed because the motherboard flexed after heating up too much, but the internal hard drive was undamaged. I want to connect this hard drive to my laptop using a cord, as there is not another slot in the laptop itself. The hard drive is a Seagate Momentus 5400.6. Is it possible to connect this hard drive to a laptop through a usb connection? I have a xbox transfer cable that physically connects the hard drive to the laptop, but the hard drive does not show in windows explorer. The transfer cable shows up in the devices and printers section. I would really like to be able to access this hard drive this way. If you can help, thanks in advance. :)
