Need laptop for 3D Modeling - Autodesk Maya $1500

Please help me find a laptop suitable for 3D modeling in Autodesk Maya. I only model, no rendering/animating. Thanks!

1. What is your budget?
$1000-$1500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
17 inch

3. What screen resolution do you want?
1024x768 or higher (Preferably much much higher!)

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Replacing my desktop with a laptop, does not have to be super light.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter, it will be plugged in, preferably at least 2 hrs.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Skyrim, Medium.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Photoshop, Mudbox, Zbrush

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Somewhere dependable with techsupport or at least drivers listed.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
3-5 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I have Dells, HPs, Asus and Toshiba laptops. I am open to brand but would prefer major brand name that has support.

13. What country do you live in?
USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
i5 or i7 preferred, I don't need a rendering machine, I only need to be able to model high poly models with Maya Autodesk.

terms5, does Maya require or recommend RAID 0? I'm asking because I believe a certain tool from Adobe does. If so, that would help narrow the possible candidates.
