Hi all! I have been on the look out for some sort of MP3 player, but it seems the market since I bought my Ipod Nano 4th gen has gone to crap. The best one that I have found is the Samsung galaxy MP3 players, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005P1VNDW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2SA0G0S9EVS6F .

That one can be expanded with a 64 GB SD card AND have work-out type apps, which are two main features outside of bluetooth that I am looking for. I would go ahead and buy the Samsung above, but it seems like those are being discontinued for some reason! So lame...hating apple right now. Anywho,

Does anyone have any suggestions at how to approach this?? Buy a smart phone and just dont enable the phone part of it?? Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated!!

I dont want a smart phone. Im content with my old crappy phone that doesnt have me getting emails from work while I'm working out, going on bike rides, etc. I know, Im one of the few that probably has this old world stance. Thats why I was wondering if I can just get a smart phone and just not have it activated for actual phone usage, just the mp3 side of it...is this possible?

The device in your link is an phone size android tablet so any apps on it should be available from the Android marketplace for any android tablet that will connect to it.
That opens up your choices. The tablets that do not connect to the marketplace may also work for you but you would have to manually install the app from an memory card.
