Hey guys! New to the forum here and I saw how responsive this forum is, so I decided to post! I am shipping off to basic training for the Air Force soon and all my training is done by October.

I am switching from PS3 to PC gaming! So I decided to build my own beast.

Approximate Purchase Date: October

Budget Range: $1000-1500 after everything.

System Usage from Most to Least Important:Gaming and more gaming

Are you buying a monitor: I have a crappy 20" monitor...so I will be wanting a 1080 one!

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 7.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg

Location: Boise,ID

Parts Preferences: Intel processor and geforce video cards

Overclocking: Don't know much about this...

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: I would like a 1920x1080 monitor

Additional Comments: Just looking for any help here, new to this pc gaming stuff and building my own pc. If you do reply I really appreciate it, no big deal if you don't!

Congrats on the training! As far as building you system now, it doesn't make sense. If your not buying until October, the computer market will totally be different from now. Intel's Haswell CPU's will be out soon and AMD might have something else come out, all before October. So recommending you a build now for a October build date doesn't make sense. Now if you were building in a few weeks that would be different. Don't get me wrong, we are here to help, but if your not building until October, please come back closer to your purchase time and we will gladly help you then.
