Why is my performance so bad in arma 3?

Hey, so I recently upgraded my PC to play some more demanding games nicely while attempting to maintain a reasonable budget (for me) I played a lot of arma 2 on my old parts, and some 3 (alpha) on my new, but since I upgraded I can't get this game to run well/decent/acceptable without having my settings on like low literally. I have the latest version of CCC drivers, etc. Here's my specs.

NZXT gamma case
ECS P67H2A2 (bios updated to work with ivy bridge)
intel i5-3570k (O/C to 3.9Ghz)
8gig G-skill ripjaws dual channel ram
powercolor 7870 tahiti LE 2 gig GPU
seasonic x650w Gold PSU
Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus cpu cooler

umm i think that's it (obviously a 7200RPM HDD/disk drive, etc. but Arma 3 alpha even has a auto-detect for graphics and rendering and my computer gets high and ultra and it looks nice, but I get a lot of graphic lag, choppiness (i know it's not connection for a fact, it does it in my editor testing too) My connection is also very good and my motherboard currently has 2 ethernet cords plugged into it (same router of course, but heck if it supports it, it supports it)

It's an ALPHA.

That means that there aren't really drivers for it, and the game isn't even close to being optimized - it's still running mostly on the CPU.

Just wait for it to be actually released and you'll be fine.

Also, there's no point in having two Ethernet cables plugged into the same router - the second port is for making a hard-wired network with other computers. You get zero benefit from having the second Ethernet cable plugged into your router. (And besides, even if you did, your internet subscription is WAY slower than even one Ethernet cable, much less two.)

I see, I suppose I didn't figure it to run so poorly. And the Ethernet thing I got from this page http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1210&MenuID=103&LanID=0

Your link is dead, but I can guarantee you that the technology doesn't work that way - no motherboard does that, and there's no reason for the motherboard to do that.

Yeah, don't worry about it. It's going to run about the same on EVERYONE's computer. I have an overclocked i5-3570k and GTX 670, and I get about 40 fps with everything maxxed, and about 30 with everything on low. :p
Give it a little leeway; it's not finished now. At least they're taking the time TO produce a quality product, rather than releasing the alpha and calling it finished, like so many game developers nowadays.

Supports teaming function with failover and load balancing

The dual Gigabit LAN with Teaming allows 2 single connections to act as 1 single connection for double bandwidth. In addition, it prevents network downtime by transferring the workload from a failed port to a working port and balances the network traffic load evenly between 2 CPU cores in order to improve performance.

Failover : Provides continuous services when one network port fails.

Load Balancing : Aggregate bandwidth to boost the file tranfer speed. Data traffic is evenly distributed to balance networking loading.

HMM link worked for me http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1210&MenuID=103&LanID=0
