Hi All!

Basically on a laptop without harddrive, I wish to use different OSs on small installations, where high performance is not an issue.
I am not interested in buying external HDs, since needed size is approx 32GB per OS.
I also want the physical integrity. Hence sharing an internal/external drive is not possible.
Thinking of using the ExpressCard 34 slot with SD-adapter.
Would this setup work with XP, 7 or 8?

I would appreciate some feedback on this.

Thanks!

First answer : Use Linux :) (like ubuntu or Linuxmint or Fedora.) That would be much much easier and simpler.

Second answer : You cant install Windows7 on external USB.

Third answer : You can, install Win7, but it wont be simple. Also, I think you will get poor user experience if the main OS is installed on a slow-ish card.

If I would use an ExpressCard with USB3.0 and connected a 3.0 memory stick to it. Would that increase my chance of making it work?
