printing scanned documents

when I scan it wont print..goes to pdf file why? is there a way to clear this and start over?it was working and then something went wrong,not sure but seems like its stuck somewhere.any help would be appreciated..it is a HP #J4550 thanks

When you SCAN something, you are actually saving it to your computer as a document, PDF, Word, Image. Are you trying to print it instead? That is called COPYING. Check the manual for the scanner on how to do what you want to do.
