Building a PC for The Sims 3

Hello all, long time reader, first time poster. I normally can answer most questions by myself with Google and this site but I can't find anything on this damn Sims game. I am building a light gaming PC for my girlfriend and the only requirement is The Sims 3 with likely the suite of expansions it has. I was looking at the EA system requirements and it's pretty much like asking if you have a PC from 2006 or newer. So I was wondering if the A4-5300 would work for it. I assume it would but I was hoping either A) some other people played The Sims 3 and could help or B) some other people had the A4 and could help. I would like to stay in a similar budget so please keep that in mind.

She probably won't want it on low settings though will she? When I put my wife's on low because it kept crashing she said, "I don't want to play something that looks like minecraft."

Honestly the only way to get it to look better is with dedicated graphics.
