Hi,

I'm building a 3770k based server, which of course won't have a dedicated graphics card. What kind of PSU would be fitting here? I mean, how much power should it have? Until now I only ever built computers with a relatively strong graphics card in it, so I bought 500W-750W PSUs. How does power consumption change without a graphics card?

More information: 4 Hard Drives, 32 GB RAM

Pretty much what ko888 said. Any decent quality (just like you would with a gaming machine) 300 watt will be fine. You probably want to stick with single rail designs, some dual rail designs keep the second rail just for PCI-E connectors . . . so you either have to go single rail, or have to know how the PSU connectors are designed.

Something like:

That would work great, but at 60 bucks you could get a normal 500watt 80Plus Bronze like a corsair gaming style PSU and then it would be portable to a new gaming machine if you needed to move it around.
