Ok, so I'm currently thinking of purchasing a second GPU but as I am knew to building computers I thought I'd better get a second opinion before jumping right in. I currently have a Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X and would be looking to purchase a second one. Will the below system be up for the job of a crossfire setup?
My system is as follows:
MB - ASrock 990FX Extreme3
CPU - AMD Piledriver FX8350
RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz
PSU - Corsair CX750W '80 Plus Bronze'
HDD - Seagate Momentus XT 750GB Hybrid
SSD - 128GB Samsung 840 Pro
It's in an NZXT Phantom full tower case with a Corsair H80i and multiple intake and exhale fans; My CPU idles around 12-20 degrees Centigrade with my GPU idling at around 32-40, so my guess is cooling wouldn't be an issue. I also will not be overclocking so no worries there.
Anybody running 7950 in crossfire, what's it like compared to single, more powerful cards?
