So, I recently bought a Corsair CX600M PSU. I bought this one on purpose, because it's good one and it's the same size as my previous PSU, so I can be sure that it'll fit. Surprisingly, the screw holes don't align at all. I can only use one. No matter how many times I tried, it's no good. Shall I try to give it back to the store or is there any other way to fix this?

To be honest, I didnt try that, but if do so, the fan of the PSU won't have much space to exhaust, cause the top of the tower will be like 1cm away. Isn't that bad?

Does the top have any holes? I'm guessing not.

That's where the problem is coming from, then. (Also, the fan is intake, on 90% of power supplies.)

So you think that flipping it upside down will solve the problem? The screw holes aren't that misplaced, but even a few inches ruin the whole thing. And where are you referring to by saying that "That's where the problem is coming from"?

I'm saying the problem is that the case was designed for PSUs that can be mounted in either direction / psus meant to face down.

If the top of your case doesn't have holes, don't mount the power supply with its intake at the top - it'll get no airflow.

What case do you have? Most cases with top-mounted power supplies aren't amazing, and $40 could get you a decent case to fix the problem.

I have a Casetek CK1022-5 or something. Power supply is mounting on top. My Chieftec PSU was fine. I don't get it.

The Chieftec probably came with the case, and was designed to be mounted with the fan facing down.

I believe the Corsair is designed to be mounted with the fan facing up, which means you either need a different case, a different power supply, or a drill to make vents in the top of the case for the power supply intake.

(The screw holes DO line up when you flip the PSU to be fan-side up, right?)

Unfortunately they don't. I tried to flip the removable bracket, but doesn't work as well.
