trying to install a Radeon hd 7750 in a computer with IGPU

what does it mean "hook the card to the motherboard slot " I have tried for 5 hrs to get this card installed. when I put it in (assuming i'm doing it correctly" momitor says "going to sleep" only thing I can think of i'm doing it wrong and want to know is there a slot beside the pci-e slot to hook too NOT a dummies just new

not a lot of info...

what is your mb, what is the specific 7750, what is your psu... and what is your cpu.

I suspect you're not seating the gpu properly, but answer those questions first.

1. Pc should be off.
2. Put the card into the pcie slot.
3. Plug the monitor into the card.
4. Boot.

I'm assuming hp p7-1414. If it isn't working, the card may be doa.

AMD A-8 5500 au with radeon hd 7560d psu 300w MOBO is MSI ms 7778 Jasmine piledriver trinity HIS radeon hd 7750 PCI-e 3.0 1 GB GRRD5 I don't think I am getting the card seated cause when in it has no power to it at all and monitor sleeps like I have no card did find some info to go onto bios and turn on Legacy and off secure boot but haven't tried that yet

the card is brand new as of yesterday.

hope this is not a stupid question:it sounds stupid to me but must ask. on the PCI_e x16 slot there is a black piece of plastic at the end, is the card suppose to hook under/onto it???

If the fan isn't even coming on then no setting will help it. Either it's not in correctly or it's doa. Yes the card is supposed to hook into that.

onto the black plastic looking thing attached to the pci-e slot if so that's may be my problem

Yes that is the locking tab, it'll click when it's in all the way. How is that the problem?

The "reply to" button simply quotes what they said. There is no need to click it.

YAHOO got it working went into bios and changed to Legacy mode and woohoo it worked thank u all so much for the help
