I will be gaming the most out of anything with my build, only going to make videos for youtube once and a while, maybe once a week. Which would be the better choice for this? Only have the $$$ for one of these upgrades for my upcoming build.

8 GB Corsair Vengeance to 16 GB

or

i5 3570k to i7 3770k

or

A 1 TB HDD to record/store videos to

More about : upgrade

Which do you think would give the most benefits in upgrading? The HT from the 3770k? The extra storage to organize/record videos? The extra RAM?

Dude i just told you. you will get close to zero performance gain upgrading so its not worth it to get any of them.

Overclock your 3570k and be done with it.

Why do you feel an absolute need to spend money? Better to save for something else.

I realize they're good for any game but I'm not talking about an upgrade to improve game performance, I'm talking about an upgrade for video recording/storage. I know the HT in the i7 helps some with video rendering, and the separate HDD would probably help keep the other one running smoothly while I record to it. Just looking for some opinions from people who record/edit vids for youtube.

Recording =/= rendering

The reason I said that is because you said "I'm talking about an upgrade for video recording/storage" and then you said "I know the HT in the i7 helps some with video rendering."

You don't need any sort of upgrade to do what you're trying to do, unless you need more storage.

So Hyper threading makes no difference, and neither does an additional 8 GB of RAM, whether I need it or not?

For simply recording and editing YouTube videos? No.
