Okay, there's a person selling a brand new OCZ Vertex 4 SSD drive.. 128gb

He said it's Brand new in box, sealed.. (on craigslist) by the way.. and he's asking only $75.

I have a WD 1TB HD... and would like to get an SSD to use my OS/programs on it..

This deal is a steal.. BUT it shows on my current hard-drive that i have used at least 140GB of just OS/programs (music software etc).

Should I even bother buying it, what do you guys recommend? I want more than 128 GB, but it's $75 for an SSD! haha. or I could just buy another hard-drive that has 500GB SATA and use that as OS/programs... ah confused.

It's a nice drive, but it looks as though you'll fill it quickly, and the last thing you want is a full system drive.

If you have any programs or data on your existing drive that you don't use often, you could move them to a mechanical drive. This will reduce performance, but will free space for programs that cause extreme disk activity.

The Vertex 4 is a decent drive, and $75 is a fantastic price for it IF it's new. Getting a 128G A4 new from Newegg would run you $125.

For reference, you could pick up a new 256GB SanDisk Ultra Plus from Newegg for $153.
