Hey guys, I just wanted your opinion on the new build I came up with. Since I am a complete noob, I don't think I'll be doing any heavy overclocking, but I got the unlocked version of the i5 in case I change my mind. Also, I got the Hyper 212 Evo because I live in Brazil and we enjoy 95 degree temperature everyday.

There you are.. Also, I'll buy the HAF 912 case, but I will do it here in Brazil.
Thank you for your time, answers are highly aprecciated :)

You can cut back on the motherboard a little bit, get some lovely low profile memory, as well as a more reasonable power supply since you aren't considering SLi and this frees up enough budget for a nice SSD:

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LE PLUS ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($47.20 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk Extreme 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($101.99 @ Amazon)

you might get a 7970, but why dont you first ask if he has a preference? and maybe backup your claim with some benchmarks or facts?

Well, as for the Graphics Card I don't have a preference at all, and I guess not planning on SLI for now. Also, what do you guys think I should change to give room for the SSD? I wasn't expecting to blow that budget away. Thanks for the answers!

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($66.64 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card ($389.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($53.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.96 @ Outlet PC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 Full (64-bit) ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K60 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2013 Wired Optical Mouse ($54.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1269.71

You can of course swap the GTX 670 for a 7970 if you'd prefer. I would recommend the Gigabyte version over everything else personally. Otherwise you're looking good to go!

In regards to peripherals, any reason you chose the K60 and the Deathadder? Have you had a chance to try the Cherry MX Red switches used by the K60?

^That build is really nice. Only a few minor changes:
-Grab the Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard. They're really about the same, but the lk version is in a bundle with the 3570k at newegg.com. Save $40 from the bundle. It says $55, but they are counting the $55 rebate from the motherboard itself.
-If you spent a bit more on the psu, you can get a nice modular one: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ss650am

I haven't tested the Mx Red ones actually, I just read that the K60 was a great mech. Keyboard for FPS gaming. The same goes for the deathadder. Any suggestions on that? Thank you sooo much guys, you really helped me out!

35 seconds? That's a long time. Even without a SSD, mine doesn't take that long.

@ksham Yeah 35 seconds is ages, I think mine is about 10-15 or less. It's faster than my Chromebook.

Reds/Blacks are a pretty good all around choice for gaming, and so it's unlikely that you'll just straight up dislike their feel. If it was blues I'd probably discourage you since they're really for typing/programming. The K60 is actually a fairly well priced keyboard I think. For the mouse though, a lot of people think Razer has quite bad build quality (I've never owned one, so I can't comment on this). A friend of mine owns this mouse though, and it is extremely nice indeed: http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Sensei-Laser-Gaming-Glossy/dp/B008OQTO0E/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1366805730&sr=1-2&keywords=steelseries+raw Danish design is the best!

By far the most important thing though for FPSs is a proper gaming surface I think. SteelSeries also do some really nice ones: http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-QcK-Gaming-Mouse-Black/dp/B000UEZ36W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366805647&sr=8-1&keywords=steelseries+mouse+pad It's only $12 and it will make a much bigger difference than the mouse itself in my opinion.

Wow, that mouse is pretty nice indeed! But I don't know if I go Razer or SteelSeries.. And I was thinking about getting a Razer goliathus control edition or the QCK Mass, but I guess SteelSeries wins this one. As for the GPU, I think I'll stick to the Gigabyte 7970 since its only 10 dollars more than the 670 FTW

This is the top of the line SteelSeries one, probably the best mouse on the market. It's got all the bells and whistles (changeable lighting colours for the back/scrollwheel, and LCD menu on the bottom, an ARM processor) but it's about $20 more than the Razer: http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Sensei-Laser-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B005L38QLQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1366822713&sr=1-4&keywords=steelseries+raw

This is another mouse at about the same price as the RAW: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G500-Programmable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B002J9GDXI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1366822899&sr=1-1&keywords=g500 Very nice as well (as long as you have a palm style grip). Basically an update of the legendary MX518.

Either way you've got 4 or so mice to choose between, they're all good options, but the more you pay the more you get obviously.

Thanks a lot! I'll do some researching and get whichever I think that suits me better :). Oh, by the way, I was kind of worried with those RAM sticks, are they good quality? I don't really know Crucial memories.

Crucial are very good, probably one of the top brands out there along with G.Skill, Patriot, Mushkin and of course Corsair. They're Ballistix series esp. is very well known. I wouldn't worry at all, they are good quality sticks. Here's a review of their 8gb kit (not the low profile ones, but otherwise it's exactly the same): http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4057/crucial_ballistix_sport_pc3_12800_8gb_kit_review/index.html and http://www.pureoverclock.com/Review-detail/crucial-ballistix-sport-series-8gb-kit-4gbx2-ddr3-pc3-12800-1600mhz/11/

Thank you sir, you just answered all of my questions! Here's what seems to be the final build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LE PLUS ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($47.20 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk Extreme 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($101.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($66.62 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($389.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($76.50 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.96 @ Outlet PC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 Full (64-bit) ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K60 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2013 Wired Optical Mouse ($54.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1292.20

If you're ordering both the motherboard and CPU from Newegg, change the Motherboard to a Asus P8Z77-V LK. Newegg is having a special bundle on the two items. Save $40. It's probably still cheaper than the Microcenter route.

Other than that, it looks good. Good luck with the build.
