Hey guys, I have a question regarding which Motherboard would best suit my goals. I currently run on an old gigabyte m61pme-s2 that has the worst OC options in the world which led to it frying my CPU(I get "windows explorer has stopped working" and then it just restarts over and over whenever I get into big folders). Anyway I have wanted to upgrade for a while now anyway and have recently bought both a ASRock 970 EXTREME4 MOBO and a ASUS M4A88TD-V with a MD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz cpu. I have them both as I got them for a steal, and will resell whatever I do not use.
My question is for general gaming, video editing and browsing which board would be best? I currently run a 2.6 dual core with 4gb of ram and its fast, but not fast enough. Is the extreme4 overkill and the ASUS will be perfectly fine? Thanks for the help.
