400w graphic card on 350 psu

hi,

would it be OK to put in an evga geforce gtx 650 ("400w or greater power supply with a minimum of 20 amps on the +12v rail") on my dell inspiron 530, which i believe has a 350w psu?
thanks for any opinions on the matter!

this is what i dont like with pre-built ones, they will put psu in there as low as they can.
if you can, get a better psu 550w should be enough for most

Dell can be tricky... they do not always fit off the shelf PSU's... IF you have a MicroCenter or a Fry's near you, pull it and go and see if you can find one that is the same shape and screw pattern...

A thread off the dell site confirms the inspiron 530 does use a standard atx psu.
