But recently he had updated his system into Win7.Now the motherboard doesn't support 5.1 channel audio. There is only a headphone in Playback devices. His Sound driver is Realtek 2.33a. yesterday he downloaded this Driver (for W7) From intel's download center. after installing that makes no changes... Help :??:

More about audio support
  1. This motherboard uses Realtek ALC662 codec.
go to http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecs and download latest drivers
  2. The page that you mentioned saying "To be sure you obtain the full features/customizations provided in your original audio product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's website"

i had downloaded that codec from manufacture's website... but problem still exist
  3. According to http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15114/eng/D945GCPE_TechProdSpec.pdf
it's 2+2 channel system using the alc 662 codec, so my question to you or your friend is , how can a 2+2 channel ever be 5.1.
