Windows has a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter. However after reinstalling windows and installing the adapter drivers again everything works fine on the Laptop, but now, i need to fix this on the Desktop, but I CANNOT reinstall windows, i am just now starting into DeVry University online for Network Management and Communications, and all data i have is volatile and i cannot backup the data to a drive to reinstall windows just to fix the driver problem.
I have come to the conclusion that this issue MUST be Registry related, since the laptop was installed with identical version of windows, excluding one thing, that windows Registry is fresh, this one is almost 2 months old.
I really would like to have WiFi on my desktop so i can do inSSIDer scans to maintain optimal channel on my WiFi AP router (had to build my own router since all the others would do something stupid and drop packets, or fail DNS relays)
the windows diagnostic reveals almost nothing, saying "There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network adapter" it has been my experience that usually when windows points blame its trying to make you believe that it is not Windows' fault... usually it is.
seems no one knows this problem, well, long story short, someone suggested a site for making a PhysX drive that corrupted my DirectX and i had to re install windows, now i have WiFi again, i would still like someone to look into this matter as i don't know a solution to it if it happens again. Outside of reinstalling windows of course.
