Reverse KVM / Ethernet Options?

My goal is to have a "terminal" in an extra room of my house that can access the PC in my office. Is there a Reverse-KVM-Extender (Ethernet?) that can do such a thing? I would rather not have 2 PCs if I can avoid it.

Your big cost is going to extending the monitor. They make them but a old laptop with some form of remote desktop software is going to be much cheaper. I know just the cablesets for one brand we have cost over $100 have no clue how much they paid for the unit it plugs into.
