Heyy Guys :)
Here is my question straight and simple :D AM i able to put the AMD athlon ii x4 640 AM3 processor onto the Asus M5A78L-M LX V2 ?

I am pretty sure It can but just wanted to make sure :D

Thanks mate but im just making sure everything will work before i buy it all :D thanks , currently have Cpu-z on the system im on now lol :D thanks for you help

i have £100/ $152.67 , and using other parts from my previous computer , I defo want a quad core / 4 core processor and a motherboard that will hold 8GB or more and if i could USB 3.0 ,

Here is what i would use from my other LOW end pc ,
750W PSU/power supply unit
Western digital caviar blue 500GB
The current case
Radeon HD 6670 1 GB Graphics card

Basically i need a new motherboard and processor for £100/$182.67 PLUS iv been mainly looking on amazon

Yeah it works, i have the exact mobo and cpu but i would suggest the USB3.0 version as it can have twice as much RAM and its only about £10 more :) AM3 and AM3+ motherboards work with both CPU's. Also have a look at the Gigabyte 78LM-t USB3.0 Motherboard too, its essentially the same motherboard but can have uup to 32GB RAM and is only£40 on ebuyer.com BUT only problem is the RAM speed can only be 1333MHz whereas the ASUS can have upto 1866MHz. But I would recommend the gigabyte motherboard more :)
