I'm looking to build a computer, but I'm not exactly up to par with the lingo of the computer parts world.

The main usage of this computer would be for.. Gaming, and using programs such as 3DS Max and Unreal Development Kit (with minimal lag as I intend to design stuff).

I need a quick answer to this (if possible) and I am open to suggestions.

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X79

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB)

Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D

Power Supply: Rosewill LIGHTNING

CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K

Again, if there are any things you see that don't seem right or you want to make a suggestion, feel free.

Yes, but i would make some changes. First get 4x4Gb sticks as the motherboard support quad channel ram. The power supply is massive overkill for a 660. Drop it down to a nice 55w0 or 650w psu and spend the savings on a faster video card. Also you need a cooler the socket 2011 do not come with one.

The only real reason I wanted that power supply was if you see the case, it's see-through on the side. And it has lights. I like lights. But you're probably right, lol. 1000W is a lot.
