I'm doing a build right now and have the new Seasonic 650G Power supply. The plug location for the 8 pin plug that goes to the MB is not outlined on the back of the PS and there is no diagram in the manual. Can anyone help me with the location? Cannot proceed until I know where it safely goes. Thanks.

Probably only one position it will fit. Have you tried it to see if that's the case (with power unplugged of course)? Otherwise does it have a manual?

You can use either on of the 2 8-pin modular ports labeled pci-e/cpu on the power supply.

There is no schematic in the manual and I already sent a nasty note to Seasonic. The only MB ones that are outlined on the back of the PS are the one for the main power and a 10 pin socket which is a separate cord. This one will fit into one of the PCIe slots but I don't know if that's correct. I don't want to do a first boot until I know for sure.

Thanks!! This solves the problem. I did go back and double check and it looks like they did imprint this but in a non-obvious location.
