Hi there,

I'm on chillblasts website looking to get a custom built desktop, I know I could do this for cheaper myself, but when spending 1.5k£ or so on a computer, I wouldnt trust myself as I have zero experience in relation to tinkering with them. Only ever bought laptops and am now feeling the need for a desktop. I need the machine to last quite a while as I wont be buying another one for some time. My two main uses for it would be gaming (newest games) and downloading.

Heres the specs -

Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Dominator Case
Intel Core i7 3770K Processor Overclocked to up to 4.6GHz
Corsair Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Additional cooling fans upgrade
Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard
16GB Corsair PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 Memory (2 x 8GB sticks)
Chillblast NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2048MB Graphics Card
Samsung 840 series 120GB Solid State Drive
2000GB 7200RPM Hard Disk - 6Gbps
24x SATA DVD-RW Drive
Power: Corsair TX 850W V2 PSU
Onboard High Definition Audio
300Mbps 802.11n Wireless PCIe Adaptor (for Wireless networks)
Using Windows 8 (would I be better off with 7??)
have also got a load of add ons aswell, like headset, keyboard etc. irrelevant for now...

Have I made any glaring errors? Any modifications recommended??

Thanks in advance!

Cheers for the input fellas, all ordered up now and cannot wait to get my greasy little mitts on it! also worth mentioning is that I looked up all the individual bits and pieces on amazon (uk) to see how much cheaper it'd have been if it built it myself (out of curiosity), turns out I would've saved £50 if I did it myself. Paying £50 for the service doesn't seem too bad to me (providing it turns up in top condition, obviously)

Hey try this case very nice case for only $90.00 at canada computers... has lint trap, led fans, side window and many more features! http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=112&item_id=063404

ALso I assume you are spending more than $40.00 on your wireless adapter but after I looked at your mother board I saw that yours just like most mother boards has a NIC (network interface card) so you can just buy this http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_1054_360&item_id=060782 to give you a 200mbps wired connection that will do just fine. (Its a powerline, lets you have hard wire connection on other side of your house with out a long ass Ethernet cable)

Finally as for compatibility take your build to http://ca.pcpartpicker.com if canadian or just pcpartpicker.com for anywhere else put your parts in and it will tell you if it is compatible and how many watts you will need for a power supply! Hope this helped!
