Reinstalling Windows 7 using same installation DVD the first time installing and can't reinstall
I replaced a motherboard and when I go to reinstall using the "repair your computer" selection it says the version of Windows installed isn't compatible with the installation disc. When I tried to do a custom install it says it can't install on the hard drive because it's MBR and it can only be installed on GPT. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Are you replacing other parts as well? the message

happends when your HDD is larger then 2GB's
you can just partition it.
Thanks for replying. I'm also replacing the CPU. The original CPU was AMD AM3, I was upgrading the motherboard and CPU to AM3+.
to make a bootable gpt disk, the motherboards' bios needs to be uefi, otherwise you will need to delete all the partitions on the drive and then let install create a new MBR one.
