for Maya, the best "gaming" graphics card is the 7970...
http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/AutoDesk-Maya-2013-GPU-Acceleration-166/

AMD sorta stuck it to Nvidia on AutoDesk/Maya this generation no matter what you're looking at (firepro/hd vs quatro/gtx)

Maya uses and is optimized for OpenGL, which is something AMD has been stomping Nvidia in (benchmark wise) this generation.

that being said, your build looks fine... only issue is you have too big a psu... but then that's not really an issue.

For 3D rendering, you're going to want to look at workstation GPUs like the Nvidia Quadros. If you want consumer grade, the 680 would be fine - I would recommend one of EVGA's overclocked cards with 4GB of video memory. PSU is a little overkill unless you're planning on running a secondary card down the road.

Might also recommend a good CPU cooler - that processor is excellent for overclocking but you'll want to make sure to keep it cool.
