Hello I will be building a new PC for a budget of roughly $1200-$1300. It will be used for gaming. Here is the build I picked out for myself using PCPartPicker.

Total: $1171.14

Any suggestions for bringing the price down while also increasing or keeping the same level of quality? Like with the power supply, I was wondering if I had too much wattage with 600W or is that a good wattage to have even if my build doesn't use that much? Also since I am including the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO as the CPU cooler(which I heard is pretty big), I was wondering if I had a big enough case to hold that big of a CPU cooler and all of the other things inside. Also when I'm on PCPartPicker it keeps telling me I have a compatibility error with my build because the motherboard has onboard USB 3.0 header, but the case doesn't have front panel USB 3.0 ports. I am using the same case and same motherboard that is recommended on the tom's hardware website. Should I be concerned about this compatibility error that PCPartPicker is giving me then? My final concern is about something I saw in another thread. I saw someone mention that it is not a good idea to build a new computer right now and people should wait. Is that true or no and why? Thanks in advance to anyone who gives advice, this is my first build and any help would be greatly appreciated. Any other information that I may have left out and you need, I would be happy to provide.

I'm going to answer your questions line by line here:

1st: Your build will could use about a 500w to 550w PSU, I would find a different brand such as: Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, and XFX if you plan on getting a quality PC that won't fry your computer. With that change you should be good to go, though it may be $5 more it will be worth it.

The Hyper 212 EVO does fit in your case without any problems. (Fits in my smaller Antec 200)

With the motherboard question it really is not an issue, and there is no problem with it, it's just that you will not be able to take advantage of what the motherboard includes.

It's really your choice to wait, you can wait for the 5-10% increase in performance of haswell by waiting out the next 2 months or so, and also risk the CPU being completely sold out and further delaying your build. Or on the other hand you can get what you have right now and you still will have great performance.

I really do not see "cutting corners" as you call it being a viable option, so at the end of the day your build is fine.

I hope this helps and good luck with your build!

Some cheaper ram. Also low-profile so you can install any cpu cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148662&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
A cheaper psu, but better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096
Cheaper, better case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139011
Make sure you get the i5-3570k + asus p8z77-v lk combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1270852
If you add them in separately, you won't get the discount.
