Ok so I have a AsusM3N78-VM Mobo and upgrading to the phenom II x2 965. I'm going to get a different cooler before I install it. I have read that my Mother board isn't very good with overclocking. I have never overclocked before but am researching. Would I run into Mobo problems if i do try overclocking. I'm just looking at maybe a small multiplyer boost.

System will be

AsusM3N78-VM Mobo
Phenom II x2
8 gig RAM
NVIDIA gt 640 2gb
Will have after market CPU cooler.

If you do you can check out SoftFSB or similar. You'll be able to manipulate your FSB that way if the board doesn't allow you to change your multiplier. Just make sure you drop the HT so its close to the limit of the board, not high over. Or you'll run into issue and slower performance for some strange reason.
