I am getting around 10-15 frames per second on Far Cry 3 PC version. I am running all low settings and everything (AA and whatever else is there) is off. I get decent FPS on skyrim so could it just be the game? My specs are:

RAM: 8 gigs
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX

That's all the specs I can find for now. If you need any more then let me know.

Basically, you have a very old system and trying to play the latest games. It may be time to rebuild. Your system is about 6 years old. Things move quickly in the computer world. You kind of have to upgrade every 2-4 years to play current games.

You are spot on the minimum requirements for FC3 so you should be able to play it OK on the lowest settings and resolution.

Minimum requirements is to just run it, not necessarily at 30 FPS.

But it should be playable if it meets the min. It maybe that you are running win 7 and the older hardware may play it OK in XP but not 7 or you are trying to play at to high resolution.

Usually the minimum will allow you to average 30fps at 1024x768.

I have Windows 7, a Core 2 Duo 3ghz, 4Gigs of RAM and a GTX 650 ti OC version. I get an average fps around 40. Never drops below 34. I find it very playable but I am not a "hardcore" gamer.

If you are cheap like me and have a 400w or better PSU, I would consider the GTX 650 ti. I found it on Amazon for $129 bucks.

You can install HialgoBoost from www.hialgo.com and receive additional fps boost in full resolution during camera motion.
Don't spend 129$ before you try it.
