Hey guys, I am thinking about upgrading my hd 6850 to one of the cards listed in the title. I play at 1080p with a 23 inch monitor. I plan to play the upcoming games like battlefield 4 and I want to know if it is worth waiting for the next generation of AMD gpus to come out. If i do wait, i will probably get a 8870. Will this be worth the wait over the current 7870 LE? Or should I just buy the 7870 LE now.

My Rig: i5 3570k ( stock), 8 gb ram,

Thanks

If you are buying a graphics card specifically for battlefield 4, I would recommend you wait until battlefield 4 is out, and then take a look at what cards exist then.

The other thing i was thinking about if i do wait....a 8000 series card is supposed to be bundled with battlefield 4. I will be making this gpu upgrade mainly for battlefield 4. Will these "Never settle" AMD bundles include the mid range 8000 series or just the high end models like the 8900s. I don't plan on spending more than $300 for a graphics card. Also, crossfire for my motherboard is not an option because the other PCI slot is a X 4 lane.

Also, is the Sapphire model (XT) the same as the Powercolor version (Myst)? It costs a little bit more? Is it worth spending more on the Sapphire even though the clocks for both of them are the same.

I like the sapphire just because they're a more reliable company and it has a bit better cooler, but the cards themselves are the same, yes.

Also, typically the never settle bundles start out with one game and get larger and larger - the 7990, for example, will be released with six games. Just guessing, but battlefield 4 will probably be used to make the higher end cards more enticing.
