crysis 3 low fps with gtx 650

i just bought my new gtx 650.....
i know it isn't meant for 1080p gaming but i am sure that it can blow any title away on 720p...(lots of research guys)

i am experiencing unplayable frame rates like 10-12 in crysis 3(campaign)with everything on low and at a res of 1024*768......(btw i consider anything CONSTANTLY above 30 fps as playable)

i also have bf3 and i am managing a constant 45+ in the metro map with crowded 64 player servers on ultra(4x AA)at 720p res.....

what to do now??
i am pissed........**** because i bought this new card specifically for dx 11......and crysis 3

what anti aliasing is running on crysis atm

on a side note, BF3 requirements have gooten slim so far since both Nvidia and AMD heavily optimized their cards pretty well for BF3 at this point. Crysis 3 is a heavy game, and is already proven to be the one game in which core #, regardless of being an intel or amd processor heavily affects performance, as it is core optimized.

everything low and AA off.....
I could've believed you but i can't because i said i have researched a lot and then posted up my question....
Look at benchmarking results and even youtube where a guy manages 22-25 on very high(1080p) and AA set to 2x with the same gpu....

But i am playing on 1024*768 and EVERYTHING on LOW.....(AA off)
and 10-12 frames is too ****....
Pls help

what are these power modes ??
And how to check if my power mode is on or off??

Driver wise, i have installed the one that came with the package namely 310.90...
The latest one is 314.xx so tbh it doesn't matter...
Maybe i'll try rolling back my drivers to an older version...

cpu power mod is just under windows go to...
Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options > Select High Performance (default setup is Balanced)

gpu power mod is under nvidia control panel...
3D settings > Power Management Mode > Select Maximum Performance (default setup is Optimized)

Update to the latest drivers. I do not understand why you are running old drivers and the want to roll back to even older drivers? The latest release or the beta 320.00 should do you better as there will better optimization for newer games.

On a side note a friend of mine has a GTX 650 with the same i5 3570K that I have and he can't play Crysis 3 ether frame rates are just to low even on really low resolution.

wow....then even your friend is having a problem either with his software or hardware....
On a side note from me,
my friend is playing crysis 3 on custom(some high some medium with aa set to 2x) with his gts450 on 720p with a constant 35+ frame rate......
The lowest frame rate he encountered was 34 and the max was 62.....
The game is well optimized man...
That's why i am trying to figure out what the problem is......becuase a gtx 650 is definitely considerably more powerful compared to a gts450....

So try finding a solution that could help me and even your friend......lol....

What CPU do you have? Crysis 3 is very CPU-intensive.

Ah, Crysis 3 hates dual-cores. Your CPU is plenty for most other games, but not this one: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/crysis-3-performance-benchmark-gaming,3451-8.html

That's the best your CPU can do with a GTX 680, so the perf you're getting with the 650 is correct. Sell the Pentium and get a used i3 at least - i5 if you can afford it.

I just wasted 160 USD (in my country, the prices are unexplainable) on my gtx 650 and that too ,just for c3.......(dx11).....

even my old 9800gtx was handling every title on ultra on 720p without a hiccup......

i am ****ed.......!!

well in my opinion it cannot be a waste. gtx650 should be able to run it. try a fresh install of windows, some settings/drivers in here we may not foresee in here are broken/malfunctioning and make sure your drives are virus/malware free. maybe thats your problem.

wow......
i just used ccleaner and hypermatrix....
frame rates shot up to 35+ constant on high at 1366*768 with AA set to 2x TSAA......

wohoo....hypermatrix is really an awesome tool...

Bits of driver code left from a previous graphics card can really affect some games and not others. It really pays off to use a driver cleaner before you run the new drivers. Well found.

My GTX650 ran BF3 on max no problem. Try reinstall your drivers and update them. And do not turn on those motion blurs or anti aliasing because they will drop you a big fps

Well they will also to a large extent hide the stutter that occurs when the fps dips below 60.... well in my case that happens so I use motion blur on low...
