When you clone the drive, you want to clone all of it. The 100mb system boot partition and the OS partition all in one cloning process. I just did this a couple days ago. I used "Reflect" software, it's free, and I cloned my Samsung 830 SSD to an old 74 GB Raptor, just so I have an instant backup if my 830 ever goes out ( minus a few weeks of use ). I do this once a month. The Reflect software always show the small system boot partition and the main OS partition and it seems to know they go together as they are both already checked, when I click "Clone this Drive". Then it asks what destination disk you want, I chose the Raptor in an outboard E sata dock and click finish. When done, I have a perfect bootable clone. I have used it and the only thing that happens when I first start it from the Raptor is that it recognizes a new HD and does one re-start and then I am good to go. I switch it back and it re-recognizes the Samsung and everything is fine. You might want to try this software: http://www.macrium.com/pages/downloads.aspx. they talk of a trail download, but the free version is fine for home use, they just try to sell the pro version if you run a business. I don't know why the "30 day trial", as I have been using it for two years and they even update it for me. I am assuming you still have the original Win 7 HD that you copied it from in the first place.
