Right now I have a single 660 Ti (and a cheapy 1600x900 monitor). I could pay $295 for another 660 Ti for SLI, or I could pay $340 and buy 2x 650 Ti Boost and then sell my 660 Ti for $200-250, meaning the Boosts would cost me $140 in the end.

Basically
660 Ti SLI - $295
650 Ti Boost SLI - $140

Which would you pick?

I second the above however you might able to do this, buy 2 650 boosts, sell 660 Ti and also buy something like these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236288, it's a bit more money but SLI is a waste at 1600x900.

I suggest those monitors because they're IPS(e-IPS probs) which is a big leap in image quality compared to TN and they are 1080p, personally I would never ever go back to TN after one except maybe for 120hz.

E-IPS is just a cheaper version of IPS but still much better than TN in terms of image quality, IPS gives better colours and viewing angles than TN but can't match TN's response times and sometimes input lag.

So if you're quite a hardcore fps player above all and need things to be as quick as possible TN is best, if you aren't that then IPS is best because it makes scenes in games and movies look alot better imo, I personally find my 27" PLS(similar tech to IPS) to be quite fine for stuff like Crysis 3,Far Cry 3 and Tomb Raider but I don't play fps multiplayer much so ymmv.
