Here is my specs:
120GB Sandisk Extreme

i5-3570k
EVGA GTX 670 2-way SLI FTW Edition (2GB)
16 GB RAM Rip Jaws

I see frame drops every once in a while every time I play games including Battlefield 3 and Tomb Raider. Without V SYNC on, I get well about 70fps, but with Vsyn on, it locks to 60 FPS then drops all the way to 23-30 depending on the scenario.

I'm not sure if the second graphics card I acquired is bad, I did a 3D mark test, you can view the results here:

Score 17311

With my single GTX 670, I could run Battlefield 3 on Auto settings with Vsync on and never drop below 60fps, now with SLI, on the same auto settings, it dips below 60 fps.

I'm not sure what other tests I can perform or how I can check which card is faster out the box. I'm contemplating returning the second card, I noticed some artifacts in the background on bf3, never seen that before. I'm not sure if it's drivers causing this also.

I'm on the NVIDIA 320.00 beta drivers.

Is your PSU SLI certified ? Is it above 860W ? Is it 80 PLUS Bronze / Silver / Gold or Platinum Certified ?
Are you putting the cards in the right slots ?
Are the cards running at x16 or x8 speeds ?
Are you connecting the SLI Bridge properly ?
Are you connecting the power pins properly ?
Are all the power connectors working ?

The Z77 Extreme4 isn't the best Motherboard for SLI. You should spend some more money and buy a better SLI capable Motherboard.

How do I test?

Alright , can you take a pic of the GPUs and give me a link ? It will help me in detecting if anything is wrong. Your PSU is great.
