so i got a GTX 660 SC along with a new computer in november. I didnt have an issues till the beginning of February. I got an RMA approved so ill be sending the card to evga once i get a box. so far all the games i tried they reach 95c and then the display driver crashes.

Anyway, I've been worried that its not the card but my case. However, there are a few things that are making be think it is a gpu issue and not the case.

i've been using evga precision and messing with settings. I tried a few things with no luck

i've tried lowering the voltage

i've tried underclocking the base clock all the way down to 680MHz. it takes longer time to get to 95c but it still gets there.

i've tried limiting the fps through evga to 60 fps. Now this helps with only one game and that is team fortress 2. i think its because it doesnt use the gpu that much

i also put on a fan curve. It seems once again to take longer to crash my display driver but it still does.

i hope its just a card issue and not the case. Anyway know what is going on?

What is the case? What if you temporarily leave it open?

Thanks, Sounds like the thermal paste did not survive the burn-in. 80+days. RMA is the way to go at this point.
